9.Never rush into a room by yourself always have back up.
10.When opening a door, open it as far away as you can get so your gun doesn't stick through the door.
11.Try to walk more than run,you can hear others that run and you can sneak up on them

GENERAL MOHAA TIPS

When you are in a close quarter fight, stutter shoot. Don't just empty your clip non stop, and when you have about 10 shells left stop shooting and when the other peep is reloading start shooting again. If he doesn't die then change to your pistol and then go for the kill. If all else fails change again to your nades and drop a few, he might kill you but he will more then likely go for your health after you die and then, BOOM. -StormBringer

When tossing nades into a room that is being held:
1st throw an underhand nade (right click)
Followed by an overhand nade (left click)
This will increase the nades killing power exponentially.

Try run along wall and lean into wall.
This will decrease your opponent's shot strength and offer a smaller target.

The Almighty Crow's Tip #764:

After spawning in the little concrete room under Neck's Roof, be aware that anyone in the courtyard out behind it (read ME) can hear you spawn very CLEARLY (esp since the sniper server seems to have gone cinematic). If you want to sign your own death warrant, simply walk to the door outside and start scoping, cuz you'll likely be shot in the back of the head from close range in short order. For turds like me, that's a Godsend, cuz it's a short count till the spawn protection is off and then hide and seek begins..... Always clear your area before settling in and scoping. Also--if you decide to run out into the courtyard, sidestep over to the concrete rather than walk on the dirt-- its quieter (or tiptoe)

Learn to aim on the move.

When a part of the body is showing thru door or wall it can be shot. Leaving the person wondering how he was killed.

Environment

Knowing the environment you are playing in will help you in hiding and tactics.

Always try to stay hidden behind an object when you are not moving.
Use any object you can find as cover (trees, crates, barrels, etc.).
Try to choose a uniform with colors that match the colors of the map you are on. (try to stay away from the white scientist uniform as it rarely camouflages you).
Use fog to your advantage. Stay far away from your enemy and clip around a building or an object. Your enemy will not be able to see you very well from far away (you will blend in to the object). Wait for them to come out into the open and cut them down.
Use craters only for reloading or when in a close range battle. The height and side to side movement will throw your opponents' aim off completely. However, they are not good for camping and do not constantly rely on them. Opponents can easily sneak up on them and they are easy to nade.

Run/Walk

When trying to run anywhere quickly, do not holster your weapon. It makes you vulnerable to unexpected attacks and takes your concentration away from an enemy if you have to draw a gun out. Instead, run with a handgun or nade in hand. This will allow you to run almost as quickly as having your weapon holstered but gives you insurance if you come across an enemy (and maybe a good bash ;o),

Try walking instead of always running, especially if you are in a small game or in a game with a lot of snipers. Snipers are usually good campers who prey on those foolish enough to run by.  When walking, be extra careful about campers. Remember to check EVERY place a sniper hides and check some places they might not hide in.  Once found by an enemy, stop walking. Walking only helps conceal your location, so if they find you take them out quick before they get the chance to.  The same goes for nades. Once they have found you and start throwing nades, get out of your current position. Fall back to a safer area.

Weapons

Knowing the strengths and weaknesses of your weapons could save your life and improve your ratio. Knowing how to use them is important. Just as important is knowing how your enemy uses their weapon (Stutter fire, spray, basher etc.) Once you know that, you can work around their tactics.

Handgun

Probably the most effective close range weapon in the game. Not only does it fire quickly, but a handgun round causes more damage than an SMG round. An added bonus is the joy of bashing (plus a good screen shot to post on the forum ;o).

If facing off against another handgun, only try to bash if your enemy is trying to bash you. If they are reloading, go in for a bash or two.
If facing off against a rifle, try all but one round, then try to bash them. Since the rifle slows your enemy down and is very ineffective at close range, bashing is probably the easiest way to take down a rifler.
If facing a sniper from far away, do not bother firing. This will give them a better chance at hitting you and you will not even dent them. Instead, try getting up close and bashing them. A sniper rifle makes your opponent extremely slow, turning them into a bashing pinata. So bash the candy out of them!
If facing an SMG, try to unload bullets into your enemy instead of bashing. SMGs are very effective for close range fighting, so try to stay at a medium distance and unload your clip.
Ditto for MG.

Rifle

A great weapon for long range accuracy, giving you a good combination of power and mobility. Allows you to quickly take out an enemy from medium or long range or run if needed. The only thing more accurate at long range is a sniper scope. Also, it is my personal favorite weapon.

If facing a handgun, try to weave back and forth and stay far away from your enemy. If they try to bash you, crouch and take a single shot up at them and stand back up. This will keep them from bashing you because they have to look down to bash you.
If facing an M1 Grand, try to weave back and forth and stay far away. A lot of players have a tendency to empty the M1 clip very quickly. If you are using an M1 against any weapon, try taking more calculated shots rather than spraying.
If facing a Mauser Kar 98K, try to stay close to your enemy and weave. DO NOT weave in a pattern, as your enemy can pick up on it and kill you quickly. Instead, try to wait for your opponent to shoot a few rounds before shooting at them. This will throw off your enemy and give you the advantage of shooting while they reload.
If facing an SMG, stay far away and try to clip a lot. Not many people have good accuracy with an SMG, so you can pretty much stay in one area and pick them off.
If facing an MG, ALWAYS stay hidden. The rifle allows you good mobility but trying to do the rifle dance in front of an MG is suicide. Instead, keep hidden and only pop your head out when you shoot.

Sniper Rifle

This gun gives you the ability to accurately shoot an enemy through the smallest of spaces. Its power means one shot kills are common. Also allows you to aim in the chest and head areas very easily to incur great amounts of damage per shot. Best used at a very far range and for enemies who like to clip. Gun is very heavy and slows you down greatly. Try to use while camping and clipping for highest success. One tactic is to aim at a point where your enemy will be running across and fire once they hit that spot. Remember to use the scope only when necessary.

If facing a handgun, keep a good distance and hide. Your best bet is to let them try to come to you and pick them off. You can keep your scope on one spot and shoot once the enemy crosses it.
If facing a rifle, make sure to stay behind a wall and clip. In this battle, you are not the only one with long range accuracy, and because they can move faster, they have the advantage. Clip as much as possible and poke you head out randomly. This helps to draw their fire and give you a chance to shoot.
If facing an SMG, stay far away. Hiding helps, but since accuracy with an SMG is usually not that great, you do not always have to go through the whole motion of hiding and clipping. Instead, just work on keeping your opponent as far away as possible.
If facing an MG, stay behind a wall. The MG accuracy allows them to shoot one good shot before it starts spraying rounds . Wait for them to waste their rounds and shoot while they reload. If they try to run toward you, drop a nade in the corner you are hiding behind and fall back to a different clipping spot.

SMG

The lighter and more rapidly firing of the two automatic guns. The large clip capacity insures that even if you miss a few times, you will have enough ammo to finish the job without reloading. Because of the weight, it allows you to move just as quickly as a rifle. Though not quite as accurate as the MG, the SMG is better for close range battles. If choosing this weapon, you will have to rely on your moves as much as your aim.

If facing a handgun, keep your opponent in front of you. As long as they are in your line of sight, your enemy does not have a chance to bash you and they probably will not be able to gun you down.
If facing a rifle, try rushing them and weaving back and forth while shooting. Doing this only allows them to get just a few shots off before they fall. It also throws off their fire and helps insure you stay in control of the duel.
If facing a sniper, try to stay close to them. Once you are close, you can do laps around them filling them with lead while they maybe get one shot off. If you are far away, the SMG weight will allow you to move from object to object without getting picked off too easily.
If facing an MG, keep the battle close, as the MG does not fire as fast and slows your opponent down. Try to start shooting at your opponents' back if you can. By the time they turn around it will be too late.

MG

This gun is one heavy mother hummer. Its accuracy means it is an effective medium and long-range weapon. It is effective at both spraying at stutter firing. But although it packs a punch, users have to face the downside of wielding this beast: It slows you down drastically. Be careful and keep your ears open for nades. With this gun in your hand, it is very difficult to run away from a nade.

If facing a handgun, do not bother stutter shooting. Because a handgun is only for short range, it is best to keep firing at your target. If they go in for a bash, try running in a circle by strafing. This will help you keep them in your line of sight and away from your head.
If facing a rifle, try to keep at least at a medium distance. If you are at a long range, the MG will be almost as accurate as a rifle by stutter firing and will take them down more efficiently.
If facing a sniper, move around and keep firing in their general direction. If possible, get close to them because taking away their scope leaves them to rely on their normal aim. With the difference in fire rate, you should have no problem making a sniper your next victim.
If facing an SMG, stay far away and use objects to hide behind. An SMG cannot hit someone behind a crate very easily. However, an MG can take down an enemy with an SMG hiding in just a few shots. Use stutter firing and be persistent. If they try to rush you, lean around the box and unload on them.

Grenade

The best generally accepted weapon (excluding shotties and noob tubes) in MOHAA. Not only can it take out an enemy in one hit, but if thrown right, it can be ricocheted around a corner and kill an entire team in just one toss. The tricky part is learning how to throw one of these fun balls to hit the jackpot.

Many people make the mistake of throwing nades at their enemies' feet. WRONG. The nade will bounce past them and won't damage them. The best way to do it is to throw a nade just in front of your opponent so it blows up at their feet.
Instead of throwing it aiming straight in front of you, try looking up at a 30- to 45-degree angle. This will help the grenade to blow up shortly after it hits the ground, leaving your victims no time to hide.
When throwing nades around corners, try throwing them at the bottom part of the wall you're bouncing it off of. This will make the nade hit the ground and blow up quicker after it rounds the corner.
Try using the old bate-n-'nade trick. Lure an enemy to you by firing a few times to get their attention. Once they bite, round a corner a drop a nade. Then hide behind another wall facing your dropped nade and ambush the sucker if the nade does not kill them.
For extra distance, jump and release the nade while you are in the air.

Team Playing

I'm a big believer in team work. A team is or than the sum of its parts. Working as a team is probably the most effective way of winning in MOHAA. The team is just that: A TEAM. You stick together and never go off on your own without backup. Most importantly is to never rush into a room alone. You will get killed before you even knew what hit you. Always have backup behind you or cover fire to distract the enemy. That said, there are a few ways to play as a team.

The buddy system breaks the team up into two-man teams. These are good for clearing rooms or making way for the larger team by doing recon and then radioing on TS to the rest of the team. This method is not always the best for objective matches because the other team may have a larger force at the objective.
The two teams method breaks the team into two teams independent from each other. This is probably the best way to win objective matches. This method allows you to have a large force for enemies camping at the objective sight, but it does not put all your eggs in one basket. If a nade kills one team, the other is still able to continue.
The solid unit. Rolling as one pack of PO'd GI's may be one of the toughest forces to stop・and certainly one you cannot take on alone. Moving in the solid unit helps insures that you will win the round. This is the most effective way to move clearing areas.

Spawning

In games where spawn protection is turned off, be sure to get out of there as quick as possible. Find some sort of cover to allow you to scout the area is neutralize any threats around you. If you know or suspect there are spawn campers, try to start out with a nade in hand. This will help you run for cover quickly and can make an enemy shoot at you hide until you can reach cover. MOST importantly is to know your spawn points and your maps. Knowing where you can hide close to a spawn point will allow you to make an attack, unlike running out in the open trying to run-and-gun.

FFA (Free For All)

Free for all is in my opinion the hardest type of game. It is every man for himself and no team to back you up and it is often difficult to reload without camping. In this game play, know your environment as best as you can.

Running out in the open is almost always suicide because you are bound to get shot by at least one person. Try to stay in smaller, more concealed paths and do not rush out for ammo or health unless you are almost out. These are left as traps for campers to prey on.

When you are in an FFA triangle, shoot the enemy is who is being shot by the third person. Do not go for your enemy who is shooting the third guy. Remember, any enemy of your enemy is a friend. Once the first enemy is dead, forget that whole friend crap and blast the last guy.

Freeze Tag

The most difficult part of this game is getting teammates who understand how to win. Anyone who knows how to play freeze tag will tell you the best thing you can do is unfreeze your team. If you do not unfreeze, you will almost always lose.

Remember to use your laser, but know when to use it. Try to be covered as much as possible when using it. Standing out in the open using it tells your enemy HEY I AM RIGHT HERE!! COME KILL ME!! You can still running forward and back while unfreezing to throw your enemies off. For better results, unfreeze with the laser while standing on another frozen teammate to get a two-fer.

Also know how to unfreeze. When you stand over your teammate, keep moving. You don't have to literally stand on your teammate to unfreeze them.. so move around. As long as you are on top or touching them, you will be able to unfreeze your mate.

Round-Based

James Bond may only live twice, but in this game, you get one try before you are gone. Keep this in mid as you are playing. Do not make any risky moves because if it does not pay off, you will be watching from the sidelines. Try to stay in groups and watch for ambushes and especially nades. In this game, you may want to use one of the grouping methods mentioned in the Team Playing section above.

Objective Match

The objective. That is your only goal. If you can get a bomb lit, your chances of winning the match increase. Even if you are not there to watch the bomb blow, you and your teammates should be able to keep the other team occupied while the time ticks away.

In this type of play, always move together and try to make your way to the objective sight(s) as quickly as possible. This will help put your opponents in a position to catch up to you and put you in the driver seat. Just be careful if you opponents are holding back.

***Other Tips and Strategies***

Do not make yourself a target by jumping. If your enemy jumps, aim where they will be landing, do not go for a mid-air shot.
Never stand around. Either move while in the open or camp in a concealed place.   When rushing a room as a team, put your heavy gunners or automatic weapons up front and your riflers and snipers in the back to shoot far away enemies.
Do not stick with the same attack paths. Vary them so your enemy has to guess where you will be.   Try to avoid using the same camping spots, as your enemy picks up on these and anticipates your use of them.   RELOAD!! Always make sure your gun has a full magazine or clip in it. If you are not fighting someone, reload so you will not have to mid-battle.
Dropping your weapon when you run out of ammo allows you to change to a different weapon faster. You can always pick up your other weapon again after you kill your enemy.   If someone tosses a nade in the room you are in and you cannot escape, go into the corner farthest away from it, crouch and lean your head into the wall to minimize the amount of damage you take. I have also heard that jumping when the nade goes off reduces damage as well・I have never tried this one. Have a go at it, let me know if it works.   If your in a sniper and/or rifles, try to decipher the rhythm of your enemy's rifle dance. Most people have the same rhythm, so you can know when to shoot.   In rifle rooms, if you see Vid Sicious, turn around and run .. very fast. Too late .. he just shot you in the back.  Do not get obsessed with the bash. If it is too hard to get that last bash, just shoot them instead.
